Michael Baber

Michael is a former College Principal and charity CEO. A Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health he has led research projects to identify how to reduce childhood obesity; encourage health at work; and reduce the risk of mental ill health.

 

Amandeep Bahia

Amandeep works in Research Operation for Imperial College London. She has worked in higher education for over 10 years, including roles in Student Experience and Engagement, which helps explain her interest in student mental health and wellbeing. With an MA in Social Work, she also has great interest in enhancing the health and wellbeing and social mobility of care leavers.  

 

Sarah Jones

Sarah has 17 years’ experience as a healthcare policy and government affairs specialist. During this time, she has provided strategic counsel to global pharmaceutical/med tech companies, a range of healthcare charities and social enterprises. She has also worked for the world's largest union and professional body for nursing.  

 

Jennie Leggat

Jennie is a Public Health Policy Fellow at Cambridge Judge Business School. She is also a Researcher for the Health Equity Network at Cambridge Public Health and a Member of the Environmental Health Integration Team at Bristol Health Partners. Her previous experience includes working as a Clinical Scientist in the NHS and volunteering with a number of health charities.

 

Ali Mahta 

Ali

Ali is a Neurologist, specialising in intensive care for patients with acute brain injuries, at Rhode Island Hospital. He is also Associate Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery at Brown University. His previous experience includes a Research Fellowship at Harvard, a residency in Neurology at Temple University School of Medicine and a Fellowship in neurocritical care at Columbia University Medical Centre.

 

Christine Megson

Christine is a management consultant working across public services, particularly focusing on education, leadership and change management. A former consultant at Sheffield Hallam Business School she set up and coordinates the Fabian Women’s Network mentoring programme and has recently been appointed a Vice President of the Fabian Society. She was awarded an MBE in 2021 for her services to gender equality.

 

Nicole Musuwo

 One of our Trustees, Nicole Musuwo

Nicole is a Public Health Practitioner for a local authority in London. She was previously Senior Research Interpretation Officer at World Cancer Research Fund International. A Registered Nutritionist with an MSc in Nutrition for Global Health, Nicole had previously worked for the NHS and for the National Children’s Bureau, as well as preparing our report on International Childhood Obesity Policies.  

 

Maggie Pringle

Maggie has been Head of an Inner London secondary school, Associate Director of the Centre for the Study of Comprehensive Schools (CSCS) and an education consultant, trainer and author. She has also been a member of the Independent Monitoring Board for a London prison.
